We’ve Moved to Ghost

If you’re reading this – it means that SquarePixel Photography has moved from being a Wordpress based blog to a Ghost blog.

What does that mean, and why should you care?

Well, not much really from a reader’s perspective – except that the site should now load a fair bit faster.

💡
Actually… it does mean that things might be a little bit broken for a while. The transition had to happen faster than I would have liked which means I haven’t had a chance to move all images over yet. There might also be some broken/missing links on articles.

I’ll be fixing these things over the next little while. In the meantime, please get in touch if you see something you need fixed in a hurry and I’ll get onto that first 🙂

If you’re interested in the platform that this blog runs on, and the technology behind it – read on.

What is Ghost?

Ghost is a blogging platform.

Some would say that it is the blogging platform that Wordpress was supposed to be.

A couple of Wordpress developers didn’t like the way Wordpress had lost focus on being a platform for bloggers and became a ‘do-it-all’ solution (in turn, making it the most popular website platform on the internet by no small margin).

The idea behind Ghost is to focus JUST on publishing content, and being very good at it.
